Michael Scott Campbell, 23, of Ramsey and Ringwood New Jersey, died on Tuesday, December 4th, 2018 at 5:44 PM surrounded by his family after an almost 3-year long battle with Grey Zone Lymphoma.

He was born on September 8th, 1995 to Teresa Marie Bursa and William Scott Campbell. Michael was the youngest of 3 children and was lucky enough to have gained three more siblings along the way.

Michael graduated Ramsey High School in 2014 and attended Rowan University for civil engineering. He had a love of roller coasters and rode on 275 different roller coasters in his short life. He and his sister Sammie (and sometimes his mom!) went on countless road trips together to explore new rides and get their coaster count higher. He had a love of playing video games with his dad and brother Paul. He was a huge fan of the NJ Devils and got countless gifts, videos, and visits from their players during his last month. DC Comics and Marvel were also a huge part of his life and Ryan Reynolds even sent him an encouraging video. He absolutely loved his 3 cats Misty, Lily and Ollie, who even got to visit him in the hospital. Michael loved music, especially Genesis and Pink Floyd. In high school, he played clarinet in the marching band, sometimes under the instruction of his brother Paul and sister Sammie. Michael will be remembered for being the sweetest, funniest and strongest person on Earth.

He is survived by his parents Terry and Scott; sister Maria Elena Rosenbloom and husband Matt; brother Paul Campbell and wife Allison; sister Sammie Campbell and husband Rob Johnston; step-father John Bursa; step-siblings Brittany and Tyler Bursa; Grandparents Bill Campbell and Mary Rose DeMarino, Carol Mazzucco and Joanne Campbell, and John and Martha Bursa; nephew and niece Dylan and Ashlyn Rosenbloom; and many loving, extended family.

In lieu of gifts and flowers, please use the link below to donate to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Michael was so excited to hear how much his brother-in-law Rob raised on Giving Tuesday this year. He developed a very rare cancer and donated his tumor cells for research. He was dedicated to helping others find a cure. We appreciate your unconditional love and generosity.
